A bit about Glory Days Farm!

We are a small family run farm. We do not have herds of horses, only the amount of horses we can groom and work with every day. Training horses is our only job - we do not have outside employment - horses are our living - they're what we do and who we are.

Those of you who have visited our website previously will see some changes... good changes... changes you have been asking for. In years past we have brought in young, unhandled horses to train and sell to people looking for that life long trail riding companion. Our main focus was training to sell. We still train horses (mostly Rocky Mountain Horses, Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horses) to sell to the young and the not so young trail riders. Now, at the request of a lot of horse owners, we have added the individual training we did years ago. We can help with relationships that already exist. We will still specialize in gaited breeds, such as Tennessee Walking Horses, Foxtrotters and Paso Finos. We will train a new gaited horse for you or, help you with one you already have. Maybe he/she won't hold the gait or has ground or under saddle manners that need work.

For some time now, we have been swamped with people asking for help with the trail horses they already had, no matter what breed. It seems a lot of people have purchased horses to train themselves and, of course, most of the time that doesn't happen. Not everyone can finish a horse… that's why there are horse trainers, we are here to help. It may be a young horse you purchased to bond with and is now ready for training, or one you have had a while and he/she won't load in the trailer, won't cross water or bridges, won't stand calmly to mount or dismount, or how about this one: "He's perfect, but I can't ride him when it's windy". For that reason we are, once again, working with non-gaited breeds. We have owned and worked with Quarter Horses all our lives and both of us have worked with Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Foxtrotters (Steve's Grandfather was a well known Foxtrotter Trainer in the early 1900's in Missouri), and even Polo Ponies.

Alot of people are now traveling with their horses and going horse camping. They need a good, calm horse to stand tied and remain calm in a portable round pen, stalls or corral. Horses used for Endurance, North American Trail Ride Conference (NATRC) and other long distance rides need to be level headed and calm - low P and R are important. At Glory Days we don't let a horse leave until we feel it is well educated in trail riding. Remember: we work with all breeds: Quarter Horses, Thoroughbreds, Paints, Polo Ponies, Hunter Jumpers and so on. We pride ourselves on turning out a horse that is a pleasure to ride and spend time with.

So whether it's training from the ground up or fixing undesired behavior, we know you're out there "dealing with it" and we are sincerely here to help. Our end goal (as always) is to have you and your four - legged trail companion enjoying trail rides together with friends, family or just the two of you. A trail ride should NEVER be a challenge - it should be a nice walk in the woods with a trusty friend. AGREE?

The following pages are intended to introduce you to us, our animal family, our farm and some wonderful people we have trained trail companions for. Many of them have become our friends. We ask you to look closely at the condition of our horses, their expressions and behavior. We hope you see our thirty (30+) years experience. Others can use our wording and copy our beliefs and ideas on paper, but we ask you to come and meet our horses if you're serious about a trail companion. So, gather in the family, call in a friend, or kick back on your own and have a look, we promise you'll see some awesome horses and you'll get an idea of what we turn out.

Please visit ALL of our Galleries, we did them for your enjoyment and to help you familiarize yourself with Glory Days and what we do.

Thanks for clicking in and may all your days be "Glory Days".
